The plot in brief:
A puppeteer from a regional Czech theatre falls in love with a Japanese interpreter while touring Japan. She speaks English and Japanese, he speaks some basic English. After returning home the puppeteer sells all his property and travels to Japan to develop the relationship at Christmas time. Finally he meets her after exhausting traveling but the girl seems to be more pragmatic. The puppeteer misunderstood polite English phrases and had different expectations. A crucial "NO" ruins puppeteer´s dream world. He accidentally spends all his money and he breaks down. However he decides to walk 300km to Tokyo and sort things out somehow. The Zen will come true (working title of the movie) on the road and a small philosophical moment will occur. Spectators will finally see the real Japan - countryside, luxurious and gloomy Tokyo, traditional and new habits.
